" Auberge champenoise " is in the little village of Moussy, which is situated at the heart
of the south slopes of Epernay, capital of the champagne region; only 3km from Epernay itself,
in the direction of Sézanne.
Moussy, dominated by the Chavot church, which dates from the 12th century, is set in the valley of the River Cubry, which winds it's way through the village, giving it the nickname, 'Little Venice'. 56% of Moussy's inhabitants
work either in the vineyards or in the wine industry.
On the other side of the valley is the Pinard lodge from where a hiking trail begins
and takes you on a discovery of the Epernay slopes. |
